How your Donations Can Help our Kids
In and around the Ararat Christian Junior School, many of the things that you might take for granted come only with hard work or generous provision. Only recently has ACJS been able to provide our children with 3 meals a day regularly – before this they had 1 or sometimes 2 main meals. ACJS has almost no school books, and very limited furniture in classrooms. Pens and pencils are in short supply, as are writing materials.
As a valued partner with us you will help provide essentials such as food, education materials, water, tuition and fundamental support for the children and teachers. If you want to go further, we hope to soon look at completing some half-made buildings, providing a more safe and stable infrastructure, and embarking on projects that help us educate our children to both survive and thrive as young adults over time.
Some examples of the more significant or ongoing items include:
- a vehicle for the school
- growing food
- expanding the school and orphanage
- furniture
- medical expenses
Make a Donation
The easiest way you can help right now is to make a financial donation. We can then put those funds to immediate use to feed and educate our children, provide them with shelter (where needed), and support our hard working teachers.
Donations can be used straight away to get orphans off the streets and into loving care.
Donate Regularly
Donating regularly helps us start to plan ahead, knowing that someone has committed to a regular, meaningful amount that we can rely upon.
You are welcome to make a regular donation for general purposes or to contact us to discuss the option of child sponsorhip.
Sponsorship begins at $40 (AUD) a month for basic needs, or $60 a month if you wish to also contribute to tuition.
Pray for Us
We believe firmly that God hears your prayers and ours. Through prayer we have seen miracles at work, hearts mended, and amazing practical provision when we didn’t know how we were going to get through. Please remember us in your prayers!
Get Involved in a Project
As we grow we start to have needs that are larger than a single or even regular donation can provide. From maintaining our power and water, dealing with waste and providing education materials for our children – there are a lot of larger projects we would love to do.
